Roadrunners care so much about the Greater Dalton area, they are venturing away from campus to pick up trash. 

As a part of a bigger project to clean up the surrounding areas, Dr. John Lugthart's Environmental Studies class went up to Rocky Face Ridge under the TVA power lines to pick up litter.

After two hours of picking up litter and assessing it, they found everything from aluminum cans to paper products and cigarette butts.

Lugthart plans to continue efforts to clean this area and teach students the importance of keeping their environment clean.
